Review: by PsYcHo KiLlEr:
PlaceII was constructed by the author to mimick a Quake level and I can say that he did indeed create a Quake like Duke .MAP. This .MAP truly does come close to what we see in your average Quake level. It's just
brighter. This .MAP is meant for pure DukeMatch anarchy, thus having no
support for Co-op (who the heck honestly plays Co-op anyways?), or one player. But as a DukeMatch level this .MAP excels. It is huge, has many levels to run around on, plenty of weapons and secret hideouts, and even underwater places. It is more suited towards 4 - 8 players since I found just 2 players to be too few for a .MAP of this size and intricacy. There is a bug however, if intentional or by accident I cannot say, but some windows are solid to Duke but not his weapons. I'm not sure if the author couldn't figure out how to make them shatter or if he wanted them to do this. So for now I have to say it's a bug. Another good thing about this .MAP is that it's centered towards a pure DukeMatch level so it has very few special effects that kill the frame rate. Although there are a few spots where the frame rate did fall below my 20 frame mark, they are passable and understandable.
